The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Award is given annually by Hiram College to a student who, through the quality of his or her leadership and overall character, exemplifies a spirit of inclusiveness and an appreciation for multiculturalism and diversity.

The Distinguished Student Leadership Award, also known as the Dively Award, is given annually by Hiram College in recognition of an outstanding senior student whose contributions to campus life have earned peer respect and admiration.

Hiram awards two students with the President's Achievement Award. This award is given annually to a woman and man in the junior class whose academic records, campus leadership, and devotion to the ideals and objectives of Hiram College distinguish their performances as outstanding.

Five Hiram STUNT student-athletes: Nina Casalandra, Grace Domabyl, Alli Hoffman. Julie Le-Quay and Abigail Ries were named STUNT All-Americans, as announced by the College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA). Sophomores Nina Casalandra and Abigail Ries were both named STUNT First-Team All-Americans, sophomore Grace Domabyl earned Second-Team All-America honors, and sophomore Julie Le-Quay and freshman Alli Hoffman were named Honorable Mention All-American.

Hiram College softball graduate catcher Giselle Bahena and freshman pitcher/utility Darian Kanno were named to the 2022 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region Teams, as announced by the NFCA on Monday. Bahena earned a First-Team All-Region selection, while Kanno was named a Second-Team All-Region as a utility/pitcher. The pair represents Hiram's first NFCA All-Region honorees since 2019, while Bahena is the Terriers' first first-team selection since Kristen Cooney in 2011.

Hiram College softball graduate catcher Giselle Bahena was selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday.

Hiram College men's volleyball seniors Tom Supan, Kilvio Montero, Dangelo Boehner, Cory Fischer and Andrew Diaz de Padilla all earned All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) honors, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. Supan and Montero both earned first-team honors, while Boehner and Fischer were named to the second team, and Diaz de Padilla earned third-team honors.

Hiram baseball sophomore pitcher Jacob Kocuba and senior infielder Kyle Workman earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) baseball honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Kocuba earned All-NCAC First-Team honors, while Workman was named Honorable Mention All-NCAC. A 2021 All-NCAC Honorable Mention selection, Kocuba earns his second-consecutive all-conference nod. The right-handed pitcher becomes the first Terrier to earn All-NCAC First Team honors since Randy Miller in 2012.

Hiram women's wrestling freshman Katie Vogt-Shields was named a 2022 NCAA Women's Individual Scholar All-American as announced by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) on Monday. Vogt-Shields, a native of Valley City, Ohio, finished her first season with the Terriers with a record of 6-14. Among the highlights of the freshman's season was a three-match winning streak between facing off against Adrian College and in the Adrian College Women's Round Robins from Jan. 29 through Feb. 8.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - May 11, 2022 - Hiram College men's lacrosse freshman attacker Ambrose Colliluori was named All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Honorable Mention, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. Colliluori led the Terriers across nearly every offensive statistical category, tallying a team-high 31 goals. 18 assists, 49 points and 60 shots on goal, in addition to 73 total shots, 36 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.

Fresh off their first North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Softball Tournament Title since 2011, six Terriers earned All-NCAC honors, including player and newcomer of the year honors, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Graduate catcher Giselle Bahena, senior outfielder Melissa Galindo and freshman pitcher/utility Darian Kanno all earned First-Team All-NCAC honors, while freshman infielder Fayth Kawamura, junior infielder Kylie Perez and junior pitcher Jeskari Rodriguez were named Second-Team All-NCAC.

November 18, 2021 - Hiram football senior defensive back Delanoe Harris was named Honorable Mention All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), as announced by the conference on Thursday. Starting every game for the Terriers this season, Harris led Hiram and finished third in the NCAC with 84.0 tackles, 49 solo and 35 assisted, adding a team-high five pass breakups and three interceptions, and three tackles for a loss.

Hiram men's soccer senior Isaac Opoku and sophomore Jason Martinez earned All-NCAC men's soccer honors as announced by the conference on Thursday. Opoku earned All-NCAC Second-Team honors, while Martinez was named Honorable Mention All-NCAC.

Hiram College women's lacrosse senior Angie Ross and juniors Gabrielle Baker and Ashonti Wright were named to the 2021 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the IWLCA on Tuesday. To be eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Eight Hiram STUNT student-athletes were named to the 2021 College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) College STUNT Honor Roll, as announced by the CSCA. Students selected to the CSCA Academic Honor Roll must have a cumulative GPA above 3.50 and have completed a minimum of 24 credits/units at their current institution. Nominating coaches must also be a member of the CSCA and in good standing with dues.

A record 45 student-athletes across Hiram College's eight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) sponsored sports and 14 teams were named to the 2020-21 NCAC Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Every year, Hiram College celebrates student leaders and campus community members for their work and effort to foster a vibrant campus. The Office of Campus Involvement is excited to announce the recipients of a new award this year, the Top Terrier Award, given to students, faculty, and staff for their positive and lasting impact on the College. The Top Terrier Award is given to 20 students based on their impact in the classroom, on the field, or across campus. Recipients demonstrate the College's core values of Diversity, Innovation, Community, Learning, and Responsibility through all that they do.

The Hiram College Department of Athletics is excited to announce its 2020-21 induction class of Hiram's Ohio Chi Chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma national scholar-athlete society. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full-time semester and earn a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Lambda Pi Eta, a national honor society for outstanding communication scholars, welcomed six new students to the Zeta Lambda chapter at Hiram College this spring. To be a member of the honorary community, one must complete 60 semester hours of undergraduate coursework (12 of which must be in communication courses), have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (with a 3.25 in communication), be in the upper 35% of their graduating class, and be currently enrolled as a full-time student of Hiram College.

The 2020 Hiram College Lindsay-Crane Center for Writing & Literature has declared its Creative Nonfiction Contest winners. Written pieces were judged by Jake Maynard, a Hiram alum and accomplished writer in rural Pennsylvania. This contest was open to all Hiram College students, and all submitted work was original and unpublished. The winners received a monetary award along with recognition of their success.
