Hiram College announces Dean's List for spring 2021

Hiram College is pleased to announce the Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester. Dean's List recognition is awarded each semester to students who, during the semester, complete 12 or more hours of graded coursework at Hiram College with a semester grade point average of 3.6 or better.

Three Terriers Named to 2021 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Hiram College women's lacrosse senior Angie Ross and juniors Gabrielle Baker and Ashonti Wright were named to the 2021 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the IWLCA on Tuesday. To be eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Eight Terriers Named to the CSCA College STUNT Honor Roll

Eight Hiram STUNT student-athletes were named to the 2021 College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) College STUNT Honor Roll, as announced by the CSCA. Students selected to the CSCA Academic Honor Roll must have a cumulative GPA above 3.50 and have completed a minimum of 24 credits/units at their current institution. Nominating coaches must also be a member of the CSCA and in good standing with dues.

Five Terriers Named 2021 CSCA STUNT All-Americans

Five Hiram STUNT student-athletes: Nina Casalandra, Grace Domabyl, Armani Hall. Jaya Martin and Abigail Ries were named STUNT All-Americans, as announced by USA Cheer on behalf of the College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) on Friday.

2020-21 NCAC Academic Honor Roll Announced

A record 45 student-athletes across Hiram College's eight North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) sponsored sports and 14 teams were named to the 2020-21 NCAC Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Hiram's 2021 Top Terriers Announced

Every year, Hiram College celebrates student leaders and campus community members for their work and effort to foster a vibrant campus. The Office of Campus Involvement is excited to announce the recipients of a new award this year, the Top Terrier Award, given to students, faculty, and staff for their positive and lasting impact on the College. The Top Terrier Award is given to 20 students based on their impact in the classroom, on the field, or across campus. Recipients demonstrate the College's core values of Diversity, Innovation, Community, Learning, and Responsibility through all that they do.

Hiram College inducts new members into Lambda Pi Eta

Lambda Pi Eta, a national honor society for outstanding communication scholars, welcomed six new students to the Zeta Lambda chapter at Hiram College this spring. To be a member of the honorary community, one must complete 60 semester hours of undergraduate coursework (12 of which must be in communication courses), have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (with a 3.25 in communication), be in the upper 35% of their graduating class, and be currently enrolled as a full-time student of Hiram College.

The Hiram College Department of Athletics is excited to announce its 2020-21 induction class of Hiram's Ohio Chi Chapter of the Chi Alpha Sigma national scholar-athlete society. Chi Alpha Sigma recognizes college student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full-time semester and earn a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Winners of the 2020 Lindsay-Crane Creative Nonfiction Contest announced

The 2020 Hiram College Lindsay-Crane Center for Writing & Literature has declared its Creative Nonfiction Contest winners. Written pieces were judged by Jake Maynard, a Hiram alum and accomplished writer in rural Pennsylvania. This contest was open to all Hiram College students, and all submitted work was original and unpublished. The winners received a monetary award along with recognition of their success. The winners are: First Place: "Drowning Episodes" by Amir Riddle Second Place: "Transparency" by Jordyn Parks Third Place: "Mr. Arbery" by Grace Lutat Honorable Mention: "Tulips" by Kritika Bhau
